Combustion is the
Anime Fanlistings Network
approved fanlisting for the rivalry between Edward Elric (the Fullmetal Alchemist) and Roy Mustang (the
Flame Alchemist) from the manga and anime series
Hagane no Renkinjutsushi (
Fullmetal Alchemist).
According to
TAFL, a fanlisting is "a web
clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web
site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting
and they are then listed to show their love for the subject."
I find Roy's taunting of Edward endlessly amusing, and Ed's mouthy, vulgar insults for Roy are just as
hilarious. I love that Roy, in the manga, usually calls Ed "Fullmetal" because he can't remember Ed's
name. I love that Ed wants nothing more than to beat the crap out of Roy in Gaiden #1 and Episode 13.
Basically, the two are just a lot of fun together.
The current layout features several anime images of Ed and Roy from
Animepaper.net and a texture from Tre-xture. Fonts used are Violation and Times New
Roman. The design was done in Paint Shop Pro 9, and the HTML was hand-coded in Editpad. The fanlisting
runs on
Enthusiast. Images used on the
fanlisting buttons come from
Animepaper.net,
Shinjuku Station, and
thedbarchives.com.
